Dual anti-platelet agents & Clarivein ~ Dr. Salerno has a question & Dr. Mueller responds

Last Updated: 6/25/2012

Responses

dont recall a patient specifically on asa + plavix but would bet that many have been treated. no contraindication to antiplatelets in the pivotal US and Dutch trials (only 30 pts each however). anticoagulants were excluded, but we have successfully performed procedure on pradaxa and warfarin to date with good closure.

i suspect it is fine

best, rich

Any experience treating vein patients that are on dual anti-platelet agents (that should NOT or can NOT be stopped pre-op) like aspirin and Plavix with ClariVein?
